Conway's Game of Life
John Conway's Game of Life is a cellular automaton created in 1970.
It consists of a grid of cells that evolve over time according to a
small set of mathematical rules. Despite its simplicity, complex and
unpredictable patterns can emerge from the interaction of the cells.
Rules:
- A white cell is an alive cell.
- A black cell is a dead cell.
- A living cell with 2 or 3 neighbors survives.
- A dead cell with exactly 3 neighbors becomes alive.
- All other cells die or remain dead.
